An important aspect of my practice is to help our patients with their overall health and beauty goals, which sometimes includes diet and exercise. Luckily for us living in Los Angeles we have some of the best fitness studios in the world at our fingertips–here are some of our favorites.

Pure Barre Beverly Hills

Pure Barre is one of the largest barre franchises of the US. It opened its first studio in 2001 in Birmingham, MI, and became a franchise in 2009, exploding its popularity. It currently has more than 375 studios across the country.

Pure Barre Beverly Hills is located at 231, La Cienaga Blvd and provides easy parking, which is always a plus when running on a schedule. The staff is well known for being extremely friendly and encouraging, making you feel very welcome, something you won’t find at many LA fitness studios. Pure Barre is mostly famous for its full body workout for females, but males are absolutely welcome, and more male clients keep appearing every day.

The Open Barre pass costs $199 and includes Pure Barre or Platform classes, retail discounts at participating studios, and options to freeze your account for a limited time.

Physique 57

Physique 57 is a fitness company that started in 2006 in New York City. Besides NY, they have exercise studios in Los Angeles, Dubai and Bangkok. Physique 57 workout includes cardio, strength training, stretching, and recovery.

Physique 57 Beverly Hills is located at 320 North Canon Drive, and has grown to become one of the most successful fitness studios in Los Angeles. It offers classes from beginner to advanced levels, with a special exercise program designed for each individual. Their rates are $250 for the year pass, but they offer a 50% discount for new memberships. The classes are about $25 each.

The studio is open from 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM during the week, and from 8 AM to 5:30 PM on weekends.

Natural Pilates & Bodyworks

Natural Pilates is located across the luxurious Peninsula Hotel, and is considered among the most private Pilates studios in Los Angeles. The studio is fully equipped with Pilates and Gyrotronic equipment.

This fitness studio offers private, semiprivate, or group training. The private and semiprivate sessions are perfect for those who want a more individualized attention; they are 1 hour in length and work only by appointment. The group classes are the most economic option and go from Beginner-Intermediate level to Advanced level. Different classes are given all day long, starting at 6 AM most days and ending at 8 PM. Some of them are open to all levels, while others are targeted for a specific level.

Rates at Natural Pilates go from $25 to $40 for group classes, $50 to $60 for semiprivate training, and $85 to $100 for private training. The studio is open from 7 AM to 8 PM during the week, from 7 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays, and from 9 AM to 12 PM on Sundays.

Bodyline Pilates Fitness

Bodyline Studio is located at 9171 Wilshire Blvd. Its driving force is called Maria Leone who has been teaching Pilates since 1989 and is recognized as a master trainer in her industry. This is widely considered as the perfect studio for those interested in trying Pilates, mostly because of Maria and the other instructors’ energetic lessons.

Facilities and equipment are top-notch, including great parking options (valet lot with validation). They offer Private, Duo or Group sessions. The rates vary depending if the lessons are done with Maria or with another instructor. The private session is $150 (with Maria) or $95. Duo training is $170 (with Maria) or $120. And the group training is $40 for one session or $350 for ten sessions.

The studio is open Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 9 PM.

The Bar Method

The Bar Method opened their first studio in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1992. It currently has more than 110 studios all over the US and Canada. The Bar Method Beverly Hills studio opened in 2005 as one of the first bar workout facilities in Southern California, and gained popularity immediately as more and more celebrities began taking classes here, becoming one of the most popular fitness studios in Beverly Hills.

The Bar Method’s Instructors are widely considered to be among the best in the World, while also being extremely friendly and encouraging. Mimi Fleischmann who is the sister of the founder of The Bar Method, directs this studio.

Their 30-day Membership for new clients is $99, which can give you up to 30 classes. They have a complete lesson schedule. The first class starts at 6 AM and the last at 6:15 PM, with more than 30 classes in between. Four-to-five classes per week is recommended by the studio, with clear results guaranteed after a few weeks.
